The K-9 Bike Jogger® is a bike leash product that allows bike rider and dog to ride/run together in a safe operation for fun and fitness!! 2. What are the main advantages of the K-9 Bike Jogger®? Very simply, by means of a holding clamp attached to the vertical seat post, a stainless steel tube containing the shock-absorbing mechanism is attached to the seat post clamp via a quick release lock. Then the cord is attached to the dog's collar by a snap link ...and you're ready to go! 4. What kind of dog can use the K-9 Bike Jogger®? Just about any dog! Actually, it is very easy to adapt the K-9 Bike Jogger cord length to the height of your dog, by simply adjusting the number of the internal springs that work as the shock-absorbing system. However, we recommend that users be at least 14 years of age with parental supervision and all users should be 40 lbs. greater in weight than the dog that will be using the device. 6. Does the product need any maintenance? There is no maintenance requirement. 7. Can the cord break or the snap link detach from the dog's collar? Any product is, theoretically, subject to mechanical and/or material failure. Nevertheless, the K-9 Bike Jogger® has been engineered and thoroughly tested in order to reduce this possibility as much as possible. 8. What type of bicycle can I use the K-9 Bike Jogger® on? Will my dog pull me off my bike? This is a very natural question and the answer is actually NO! The reasons are as follows: while in operation (riding a bike) there is a simple physics principal at work…which is the same principal at work with or without the K-9 unit attached, this is known as vectored force or vectoring force as it pertains to kinetic energy. In other words, when you have weight and speed moving in one direction, that direction CAN ONLY BE ALTERED BY GREATER WEIGHT AND/OR SPEED. Simply put, your dog will experience the authority of your motion by virtue of your weight /mass moving in a forward direction. Obviously, you can assume, the greater the difference between you, and your pet's size…the less effect your dog can apply.
